Mauritius island, in English !

The Mauritius people are trinligual : they speak English, French and creole. At school, children have lessons sometimes in english, sometimes in french. At home, they speak creole.

Why ?

During the 18th century, Mauritius was a french colony (1715-1810). Then, during the 19th century, it was an english colony (1810-1968). Now, they are independant (Republic).

Like in Great Britain, they drive on the left ! It's difficult for us : everything is inverted. The wheel is on the right, turn signals are on the right, wipers are on the left.

Chloé, if something is wrong, tell us !
